Start with the Basic Dimensions
If you want a clearer closet quote, begin with the opening width, wall height, and usable depth. Those three measurements help define whether the space is best suited for simple shelving, drawer banks, double-hang sections, or a more custom layout.
Rough dimensions are enough for the first conversation. They do not need to be perfect shop drawings.
Note the Things That Interrupt the Layout
Planning creates beautiful spaces
Quality craftsmanship and attention to detail make the difference in every remodeling project. We bring years of experience to Central Kentucky homes and businesses.
Closets often include obstacles that matter more than homeowners expect:
- Sloped ceilings
- Attic access panels
- Doors that swing inward
- Baseboards and window trim
- Electrical panels, vents, or plumbing access
These details affect what can actually be built and how the storage will function day to day.
Define What the Closet Needs to Hold
Measurements alone do not tell the full story. Think about what the space needs to organize:
- Long hanging clothes
- Folded clothes
- Shoes
- Bins or seasonal storage
- Bags, accessories, or laundry items
A closet designed around real use works much better than one designed around symmetry alone.
Photos Speed Up Planning
Wide photos of the full wall, door openings, and any awkward corners can answer a lot of questions early. That makes it easier to recommend the right layout before a site visit.
Better Inputs Create Better Quotes
If you want a closet estimate that gets specific faster, send rough dimensions, a few photos, and a simple list of what you need the closet to do.
